Live My Life

Kills, a well-known boss of Harlem, is pushed to his limit when an old rival makes moves on his operation. Forced to keep his status as a boss untainted he has to handle the situation. When he gets to the bottom of it another problem emerges. What can he do when he just wants to live his life?

Live My Life grew out of one train ride, headphones on, when Cam'ron's "Leave Me Alone Pt. 2" hit a little too close to home. We took that feeling-the urge to disappear, reset, and still stand tall-and carved it into an urban story you can finish in a single sitting, but feel for days.

On the page, you walk beside a narrator who is tired of being everybody's anchor while quietly sinking himself. Every choice he makes pulls him between loyalty and self-preservation, the block and the better life he keeps seeing in his mind. We wrote it for commuters, late-night thinkers, and anyone who has ever said, "I have to start living for me."
